Low Vision Services
Each child referred to Sight Savers is assigned to a Case Specialist for one-on-one personal care. This dedicated crew contacts parents for needs assessment and program qualification, schedules appointments, makes reminder calls, arranges transportation if necessary, makes arrangements for glasses and other treatments or surgeries if prescribed, and final follow-up care to ensure that each child receives the eye care they deserve.
At each step during the process, Case Specialists document all actions and results in our CRM database that allows measureable and traceable outcomes in real time. Sight Savers keeps a complete record of every time that assistance is provided. Many patients will have numerous records in our database due to having multiple services provided.
After determining a family qualifies for free eye care services, the Low Vision Department of Sight Savers helps families of low vision children with the following services:

- Arranging transportation to appointments when necessary
- Follow-up after appointments
- Delivery of vision aids
- Delivery of blind aids
- One-on-one training for parents and children
